Have just been given an unexpected day and half off work. Booked one night at the Groes Inn. Intend to get there during the afternoon, then spend the next morning / early afternoon driving around N Wales before heading back to London late afternoon / evening.
Does anyone have a route that I can shove into Waze, or find a way to follow that will give me a few hours of fun? Probably decent sized B Roads and less popular stretches of A Road I guess.
Know it's the Summer so it'll me more crowded than usual but at least it'll be a weekday.
Thank you so much.

Sadly, the Welsh constabulary prefer to literally abolish spirited driving what with their "average" speed camera setups. Keep your eyes peeled....??
This is really not surprising when far too many come to Wales and treat it like a race track, what do you think would happen if everybody came to your town and treated it like a race track. Not really relevant as they have probably already filled your town with "cash cameras".saw this come up in my google feed may be of use to someone

Looks like it covers most of the Welsh roads.

It's actually not hard to have a good drive within the speed limits. Probably better to look for b-roads as they tend to be more twisty and harder to break the limit.
As pointed out, don't come to Wales expecting to get away with speeding. In my first years living up here I got caught twice having never been caught for speeding ever. I did not suffer any penalty as I managed to wiggle out of the second one and took the awareness course for the first... but I learned my lesson all the same. 'no speeding in Wales'

Bare in mind most B roads, either:
Have single track sections (no central white line, requires drivers to slow down and move over, or stop to pass)
Or some are fully single track roads, no white line. We’re talking 30mph tops on some roads, even if it says NS; if you meet a tractor and you’re flying on these roads, you’re fd.
Even some A roads have narrower sections, no white line, which require care to get through.
But please don’t come bombing through Wales at twice the speed limit.
As is often the case, just because it’s NS, doesn’t always mean you can do 60. Yes, some roads are straight, or have straights where you can shift on if you can see it’s clear ahead (and behind!), and there’s newer bits of road which tend to have longer sweeping curves with good lines of sight, however, as an example,
yesterday, travelling on an A road, I had to drop down to use 2nd gear /18mph to navigate a very tight corner which fed straight into a 1:12 incline
A lot of corners in reality are much sharper than they appear on maps/sat nav.
