Google maps routes to GPX and ITN?

TYRE is supposed to work if you have a (free) Google Maps API code, but on my PC at least it only shows straight lines between waypoints rather than following the actual curvature of roads. Nonetheless even if the mapping is broken it still works as a file converter from KML to other formats.
Personally always preferred ITNConverter anyway, which doesn’t work with Google Maps but has a choice of open-source maps to choose from,
