Calais to Monaco
Discussion
A friend and I have a event in Monaco in October, we hope to travel down in his new Carrera S - might be a lot of fun BUT neither of us are familiar with the roads down there.
We are looking for a quick route through france without having to worry too much about speed limits or at least sticking to slow speeds, do they have any roads that allow quick progress without worrying about the police all the time?
Thanks

I'm doing a very similar journey to you in September, although I'm driving to Marseille where I'm currently living, flying back to pick my car back then doing the drive.
I can't say I have an exact route worked out, but I'm heading towards Dijon, and then down a bit. Which is very precise you can see. I will post about it when I do the journey with some thoughts.

The French police are very hot on speeding everywhere in France. You are as likely to see them on the obscure B roads as the motorways these days.
Forget the Route Napoleone unless you are travelling at an unusual hour - a great road but massively overrated as it is often clogged with traffic.
The quickest way is to use the motorway - try the European Trip Planner on the RAC/AA websites. By motorway it is a 2 day drive - if you want some fun roads, budget 3-4 days.
