Just got off the phone to my Dad who just told me that average speed cameras have appeared from the Camberley turn off all the way to Guildford?! Anyone else come across these? More importantly does anyone know if these appear on the other side heading away fro Guildford?

This is my regular route to my Dad's place, and I must admit I have been known to 'get a wriggle on' when I'm driving to his place (away from Guildford) but I usually stick to the limit religiously the other direction. I'm aware that breaking the speed limit is bad blah blah blah, but average speed cameras appearing on this stretch sounds so tedious.

I noticed on Sunday that these now start where the NSL becomes 60mph, rather than at the 50 limit. Rather pointless in my view as virtually everybody was sticking to the limit every time I have driven along there.

I thought the earlier cameras by the sports park a bit pointless as it is a struggle to hit 50, let alone exceed it for most of the day.

I suppose it was only a matter of time, sadly.

A331, A31 and A3 became my route of choice for visiting my Mum in Worcester Park when the M3 had a 50 average for 4 years or so while it was turned into a Dumb Motorway and the M25 had permanent queueing from J11 to J10 thanks to reduced limits. banghead

But as Mum passed away last month I won't be going there so often now, but I'll have to be be careful when I see my sister in Sutton - like I do on the A217 with 40 average cameras!

Driving in the South East just seems to get more and more miserable.frown

Clearly the rozzers are still trying to catch up with Mike Hawthorn.

Anyone know how long they've been there/are they live yet? Only noticed them on Sunday as well.

Are they front facing or rear-facing cameras I love the front facing ones when I'm on my motorbike

Rear facing.
It took them a while to commission the ones down the road where it joins the A3 but these have been in since early December it seems. Last time I did this journey was at the end of November and they weren’t there then.
