2 days of driving in Scotland? Tips welcome where to go.

Hi,

I normally take a road trip to the Alps but due to the current situation, I’m choosing to go North instead.

I know it’s not much Time but I’ve got 4 days in September. Days 1 and 4 will be travelling there and back but looking for tips on roads and places to stay for days 2 and 3.

I’m looking at going up the West side so evening 1 can be around Loch Lomand or as far north as Glencoe. Then a total blank canvas but need to be no further north than Fort William at the start of Day 4 to get home.

Any recommend most welcome.

Day 2 glasgow to Ullapool/Applecross/skye
Day 3 Ullapool to Criainlarich/Calander
Day 4 Home

Isle of Arran is on the right side for you and you can do a day there.
Who is in your car with you?

I don't see any point in rushing far north to only be driving and not appreciate the scenery.
Arran is a mini Scotland and stuff to do, whilst not spending copious time just driving.

I can truly recommend The Alamo as a place to stay in Glasgow just outside the city centre next to Kelvingrove Park. Good food at The Left Bank, Gibson Street if it’s open.
