Hello,
I'm looking for a longish road (>5 miles) that's two lanes and very quiet - as in low traffic, we want to film an in car video and with actual traffic around it's super distracting.
The actual surrounds don't matter much, doesn't have to be a beautiful country road just quiet, say within 20-30 miles of the dartford crossing.

Ideas are welcome,
Thank you!

The A289, during an early weekend morning could be suitable.
Looks like it goes to the arse-end of nowhere, but it's a dual carriage way.

Otherwise the A2 after Canterbury (Dover bound) is generally quiet for a few miles, maybe the odd truck convoy, but most of the traffic is on the M20.
Although this maybe a bit further out, than the 20-30 mile range.

Close to where the other poster said is the A299 ,after where the M2 splits near Faversham ,it's quite quiet all the way to Margate

and is plenty long enough without roundabouts until about Birchington.

I think this is a pretty good shout, it is a bit of a drive from Dartford crossing to the start of a299, but not too far off of the goals you require.

I'm on the Essex side and the only thing I can think of that may work is the a130, from its junction at the a1245/very close too the a127, all the way up to its junction with the a12.

The first half is all dual carriageway until you pass under the a132 Rettendon turnpike, and the rest of the route too the a12 junction is a 3 lane stretch, but at the times you are looking at it should be pretty quiet and most of the route both sides for the entire length is pretty much just farmers fields.
