Depending on the weather, I may take the motorcycle to the football in Bath next week. If it's like today I'll take the Subaru...

Thinking of getting out of London then as soon as I can, getting off the motorway. Pondering if Reading and A4 is better than Basingstoke and A342. I hate 50 limits. Thoughts folks?

A4 would be my choice.

I think I'd be more tempted to head down the M3, A303 and then head across Salisbury plain - it's longer but at least there are some decent roads.

Basingstoke > Stockbridge > Amesbury (across Salisbury Plain) > Trowbridge > Bath

Suggestions welcome! It's a 3pm kick off so I will have the time...
