So I've searched both this forum and Google but can't find an answer. Someone here must know...

Which strip of road is Harry's "Eau Rouge" on in those wonderful Harry's Garage videos?

Funny, I used to live right by that bend, maybe 100m away. I saw Harry's Zonda a few times.

This is a decent facsimile too, if you're nearer Oxfordshire.

You get some lovely compression at the bottom of the dip.

I wasn’t expecting these extras. I have a friend near Oxford that I don’t visit enough. I’m sure I’ve driven that road before a few times but don’t remember that specific corner.
I do remember a lot of fun roads that way though.

I’m near Southend so truly great roads are few and far between

That road is epic in a Clio 172 lick

Severe dip/S-bend combo on the A258 between the Duke of York Roundabout and Dover Castle. Google map image doesn't really convey the drop.

Pretty good travelling in either direction.

Brilliant, well done lads. I mean for FFS, that’ll be another wonderful stretch of road that’ll probably have average speed cameras along it’s length within the next five years, now you’ve brought it to every boy racers attention.

By all means ask the question, it’s what the forum’s for after all, but use a bit of common sense and ask for the answer via PM.
Hardly rocket science is it ??

Also check out this: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.7093198,-0.55881...

Going from Bovingdon, the drop away is great fun, and the compression at the bottom is pretty big.

Great from either direction, though.

I was talking about it to him, yesterday, at the Royal Artillery Company concours d’Elegance.

I’m in those parts tomorrow so will give it a go in my Boxster.

So i tried out Harry's Eau Rouge today. Much more dramatic than it appears on screen. Bumpy, too. Great fun, of course, and absolutely no need to be daft to enjoy it. Recommended.

Nice. Thanks.
You never quite get the full impression on video.
Sounds like it’s worth a diversion next time I’m out that way.

Anyone been watching Clarkson’s Farm? I’m pretty sure some of the roads looked familiar e.g. Harry’s Eau Rouge. I’m guessing they both live in a similar area.

Harry says hes a "neighbour" but then with 1000 acres there are a lot of potential neioghbours lol

The series was excellent

Given that road is very close to Clarkson it's possible.

I've driven that road hundreds of times and never know it was Harry's Eau Rouge! I feel a drive coming on.

The videos/stills do not do that corner combo justice, it is/seems far steeper in real life.
