A61 Skipton On Swale

Hello,

I'm wondering If anyone lives near Skipton On Swale on the A61.
Could you check and confirm the speed limits between Skipton On Swale at a place called "The Camp" as I have a Notice of Intended Prosecution for doing 35MPH in a 30MPH. But as far as I was aware this was a National Limit out side Skipton On Swale and unfortunately I am now 300Miles away.

If someone is near by and could get a couple pictures of the limit signs in the area or confirm the limits what would be great to see if I contest the ticket.

I live a few miles away. it is a 30 in the village, going to 60 on East side - a popular spot for S camera vans. West , it goes to 60, then towards Baldresby drops to a 40. The old RAF camp is to the East ,a nd I suspect you were caught in last bit of 30 limit?

Thanks for that I was heading to Skipton-on-swale from the Busby stoop roundabout, and the speed camera van was sitting on the road between there and Skipton-on-swale at a place the North Yorkshire Police say is called "The Camp", I was sure I hadn't entered the village and was still in a national speed limit.

Its a pain in the arse, but most likely I'm going to be offered a speed awareness course which is going to be cheaper than running back down the road to get pictures and speed limit signs to appeal against the ticket. Guess if I am right or wrong I'll just need to take it!!

If you send me the exact location of your alleged offence I can check - I pass that way every week .

Wish I had it my friend, that's all they will disclose to me is that it was on the A61 skipton-On-Swale at the camp.
If I want any more information I will need to opt to go to court where the evidence will be provided.

Drove by it 15minutes ago , and speed camera in situ , but aimed at West bound. The 'camp' is not an official location , and all Skipton on Swale lies next to a former WW2 bomber base . The 30 limit extends to last building on N side (a pet crematorium !) and a little beyond .I fear you may be screwed - take the course (I did a few,months ago for an A1 79 mph cop )
