If you really can go a bit further into England, go to the Tees, Cauldron Snout (the longest waterfall - i.e. a series of small catarcts joined together) or High Force (the highest volume flow).

The biggest one of all is a longer , but wonderful drive North, followed by a boat trip from Kylesku . It is called Eas A'Chual Aluinn and is well worth the effort of seeing . It is , I think , the highest waterfall in Britain - although actually it is more of a large stream flowing down an almost vertical cliff . Last time I was there we had the bonus of Golden Eagles too .
Not in any conventional sense a waterfall - but one in a literal sense - can be seen on the escarpment behind (ie east ) of Inchnadamph , by Loch Assynt in Sutherland . If there has been heavy rain very recently an absolute torrent falls off the high cliffs and , if it's windy (as it normally is there ) you get spectacular effects as the water is blown back into the air . Another good Golden Eagle location too .

Some of those mentioned are considerably more than hour from Glasgow.
The drive alone to Eas a' Chual Aulinn is four and a half at least. And you're not even close!

If going as far as the north west Highlands I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Corrieschalloch.
Others are available a tad nearer: e.g. Divach, Plodda.
These are all within striking distance for the OP.
Biglees Waterfall - https://goo.gl/maps/VcNhkmBEYk8ysVn39
Falls of Falloch - https://goo.gl/maps/QBSmZ9PguRhbaYtX8
Bracklinn Falls - https://goo.gl/maps/u7Rbngw3xS75bfqp9
Those are even closer to Callender than the Falls of Leny.
Carline Linn - https://goo.gl/maps/hbe9a8u21WRjLL7PA
Campsie Glen - https://goo.gl/maps/UagxmC6zf3NCkMht7
You can walk behind one of those.
