Having a final fling...

Just in the nick of time i find myself back in nice cars just before the end of ice comes, i live in SW france and want to make the most of where i live and the empty roads so going to have a final fling over the next few years and drive the roads & tracks in as many different cars and bikes as i can..

This morning i found drivingforpleasure.co.uk which has given a couple of route nearby and a good starter

COL DE LA CROIX-MORAND

THE N152

We did live on the cote d’azur for a while so have done route napoleon and most of the routes that way but have done very little SW way or into Pyrenees, only done the motorways really so guessing theres allot to explore..

So any personal suggestions? any other forums, groups, websites to explore?

Will obviously scourer here to see what i can get to, might drive up to the le mans classic to so maybe some routes to do on the way to that..

Gorges du Verdon, Drive from Castellane to Moustiers then back on the other side of the gorge.
It has to be an early start though , otherwise you will be stuck behind a coach tour
Part of the route includes a one way section so you can let your hair down
A few years ago the one way section was used on Top Gear with Clarkson driving an Audi RS4 , whilst free climbers took the short route up the gorge

I drove it in my MX5 , the best drive I have ever had

You misunderstood, I think. Today the maximum legal speed limit in France on D roads and RNs is 80kph (ie.48mph).

That's why I no longer go there.

Yes suffered with that last year ,but it appears the French goverenment LISTEN to their motorists ,remember the attempted hike in diesel tax a while ago that Macron tried to bring in

Ah the Dordogne , off to La Roc Gageac in 4 weeks , hope the weather is better than here .
No MX5 though , just the Tiguan tug frown

That road from the Millau bridge down to the coast, zig-zag through the vineyards, heavy on the brakes though.

Exactly! I drove some amazing roads near Malaga which had limits of 30kph, which nobody was keeping to. Just had to judge when to go quicker and when to reign it in.
