Picturesque route for upcomin long weekend trip to highlands

Hi all, a friend of mine asked to recommend a picturesque route of the highlands over the long weekend (friday to monday). Please let me know what I can suggest him.

It might help to know where he is starting from.
By far the biggest thread in this sub-forum covers that part of the UK.

He's either going to Glasgow or Edinburgh and then renting a car.
Completely understand the other thread is there but because of the long weekend he is wondering where might be best please

Indeed, that's why I didn't want to give him my own itinerary as it was for driving roads as opposed to just sites to see. Would you know what picturesque sites I could recommend that he'll be able to see in the time that he has please

Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Crianlarich, Fort William, Invergarry, Loch Shiel, Strathcarron, Applecross, Torridon, Kinlochewe, Gairloch, Ullapool, Summer Isles ... he'll get many fantastic views.
