Is M42 Hard Shoulder Camera

Hello everyone, I was hoping I could get an answer to a question that is really worrying me!

I was joining the M6 today at junction 4a going northbound from the M42 . Anyone who has driven this may know how confusing the junction is. I joined what I thought was an active lane, not realising it was the hard shoulder. There were no red X's but as I got a little further down I read that the sign said the hard shoulder was for emergency use only! I didn't pass any of the side mounted yellow cameras but there were some CCTV looking cameras. I got out of the lane just before J5 but I'm terrified I'll get a ticket for driving in the hard shoulder and 3 points. Does this seem likely?

I could very well be wrong, but if you didn't pass any of the yellow side mounted cameras you should be fine. On the 42 I dont think those cameras work when the variable limit isn't being enforced anyway. I'm sure someone will be able to clarify this for you and myself.
