Looking to move to Hamble or Warsash and would like some advice on what the daily commute to Hedge End would be like? Have heard it can be a bit of a nightmare going along Hamble Lane, what is the reality like?

Pretty clogged during the peak hours especially on approach to Windhover roundabout at Tesco’s. More and more development coming on line in Hamble Lane although the largest will eventually have another entrance. M27 towards Hedge End will be very slow in the mornings but there are other non motorway routes out to Hedge End. If you do move into the area you can wave at me as you go by (corner of Portsmouth Road/Hamble Lane). So yes it’s going to be a 45 minute journey at least from the bottom end. By the way local council are in the middle of a consultation to improve Hamble Lane. No timescale yet and it will be a clusterflook during construction. Remember council priorities aren’t always the private motor car.........

ROMANSE - the local highway patrol boys have a fast twitter feed for the area. Currently a bit clogged.

Warsash will probably be a bit shorter time wise. So many house being built along A27, around Windover Roundabout and Hamble Lane - this and making M27 a smart motorway over next two years isn’t going to be pretty.

Windhover roundabout is a nightmare whatever direction you approach it from.

I found a job elsewhere and avoid it now.
