I need to take my classic car from Guildford to Langley Broom (near Slough) but since the M25 is full of rash drivers i prefer not to drive on it as I just cant afford to repair if some fellow bumps into my ride (esp since it has a lot of airport traffic and foreign drivers)

Any idea if I can drive avoiding motorways I tried it online but was not that successful

A Triumph Herald would keep up with the motorways no problem, some stats :-

You are more than twice as likely to be involved with an incident off the motorway than on the motorway.

Just a thought!

it certainly will and has done so last summer

but in dec my daily driver was hit by someone who accepted liability and then went back and the insurance thing is a mess hence my apprehension smile

but yes ur right motorways are better than some smaller road

Whilst technically not motorway the part of the A3 used in the route plan posted above is pretty much motorway standard road (multi-lane, high speeds)

Best bet would be to go cross-country to the A30 somewhere around Bagshot and up toward Windsor/Slough that way...
