Scotland to mallorca

Anyone done this? Any tips on the best route or just follow tomtom/waze/google maps? Just the fastest most stress free journey i'm after, doing it in a vito loaded with tools so driving pleasure is out the window.

Google shows 29 hours of pure driving from GLA to Mallorca. Most direct route seems to be UK: A74/M74/M6/A66/A1(M)/A14/M11/M25/M20 to Dover/Folkestone. Europe: A26 to Arras, A1 Paris, A19 Orleans, A71 Clemront Ferrand, A75 Beziers, A9 Barcelona where you get the ferry.

29 hours of driving doesn't include sleep/eating so how about Portsmouth to Bilbao/Santander and a drive across Northern Spain. Advantage is that you still travel when you sleep. Disadvantage: Cost and your van will travel faster during the day.

The ferry to santander/Bilbao is around 1k squids return at the mo for car and driver with a cabin. I wouldn't bother

Is the google maps time taking into account the ferry crossing times? From what i read the valencia or barcelona to palma farry is 8 or 9 hours. My mrs wont stomach that drive, i think i'll just fly her and the wee one out, that'll give me a few days peace to get stuck into the job before i get distracted.
