Hello all,

I'm driving to Europe this June for 14 days. Route from London to Dunkirk then staying in Haarlem first point to call before Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Germany then somewhere else inbetween.

Most routes were South Europe..but any ideas adn places to stay / pitch a tent in the countries I've mentioned along with good B roads?

Thanks.

Green.

I'd get on a ferry to Norway asap after Haarlem. Denmark has it's highlights, but the part of the Netherlands and Germany you'll be crossing are pretty unremarkable. Sweden is beautiful as well but pales in comparison to the good bits of Norway (of which there are many). Have been in all above areas many times.

Greetings from The Netherlands.

Hi Nerdherder

Thanks foe the reply. My partner is meeting me in Copenhagen before she flies back from Gothenburg. I could travel around Norway as you suggest or do this another time. Many thanks.

Are there any mx5 groups that you know of or are a member of in Haarlem?

Makes perfect sense to transverse Sweden then. wink Not a member of the MX-5 ranks here (I'm from the south of NL btw), I'm sure the folks at http://www.mx5club.nl/ (which you probably already know?) are a good bunch.

(Change the language setting in your browser or paste the url into Google Translate to the site in English it is usable for you)

Haarlem to Copenhagen is a long day, but worth hammering through Germany to get to some more interesting bits. At least most of it is Autobahn.

I'm off road tripping to Denmark in July. I'm not expecting Alpine-quality roads but looking forward to something different. Any good road recommendations in Denmark would be well appreciated.

Indeed you shouldn't expect anything Alpine in Denmark.

This page

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest_pave...

shows us that the highest road in that well known flat country, the Netherlands, is Vaalserberg, 322m.

For Denmark, wierdly, it is even lower. 170m
