Going to the Land Rover Experience there. The free morning they offer with a new car.

Will be driving from Newcastle and spending two nights at Meikleour.

After getting Landys stuck in the mud, well have the afternoon free before returning to Meikleour.

Anyone got any road recommendations for an afternoon out playing with my new Discovery Sport please?

Coming home, I'm thinking of leaving early, heading NW then South, perhaps Loch Lomond maybe Loch Long before picking up the M74 M6 A69 back to Tyneside.

Anything that involves whiskey, cars, military or cool engineering stuff en-route would be an added bonus.

Afternoon of driving from Dunkeld at this time of year? Lovely roads, autumnal colours should be good.

How about this:
2 miles N of Dunkeld turn left off the A9 and follow the B898 then A827 to Aberfeldy then Kenmore and start along the shore of Loch Tay. Turn R at Fearan taking the yellow road round past Bridge of Lyon to Fortingall and double back east to the B846. Turn L (north) and after a few miles L again onto the yellow Schiehallion road. Head to Kinloch Rannoch then turn back east on the B846 to Tummel Bridge then B8019 to Queen's View. From there you could head up to Killiecrankie then back to Dunkeld via Pitlochry following the minor roads that are roughly parallel to the A9.

It's a beautiful area, and following that route there should be plenty of places to stop off for a few minutes.
