Moffat to Selkirk

Was on my way to scotland last Wednesday and had a couple of hours to kill so decided to go a scenic route.
Just been promoted to post as evo mag have done this as a featured drive which jogged my memory.

Moffat to Selkirk. Great road with lots of potential but some resurfacing with the dumping loads of gravel stuff on a big section of the road limited proceedings a touch.

Certainly a couple of good airborne moments though and some nice scenery.

Can anyone reccomend any route off this stretch that might be fun to try again soon ?

I normally make it a triangular route going from Moffat to Pebles to Selkirk and back to Moffat. Great roads

Heading to Selkirk turn off at St Mary's loch to head towards Langholm-fantastic road

I will give that a try. I like a nice drive with some scenery.

Slightly off topic of driving but I gather there's a lot of fighter jet activity up that way is there a good time to spot them or place to spot them? Always find them pretty cool.

The road was closed at the Selkirk end yesterday (15th June). Don't know if it's a long or short term closure or why it was closed. But may be worth checking beforehand if you're making a trip specifically to drive that road.
