We usually stay in StDie for a night on our way south and spend the next morning in the Vosges before heading on towards the Alps.

I have a 4-day route that takes in the Cite de l'Automobile in Mulhouse, Reims, Vosges, Black Forest and Stuttgart. PM me for details.
When in the area the WWI memorial in Verdun is a highly worthwhile if sobering visit.
One of the very best stretches is the N10 that follows the northern border between Luxembourg and Germany - a lovely, long and flowing road that winds through the picturesque Moselle valley. Highly recommended.

Just for comparison, how would this area compare with Wales, The Lake District or Scotland? Roads, food and accommodation all relevant.
Similar but quieter (wider roads than lakes) and the locals tend to let faster car past. Don't recall seeing police around either. Gassing Station | Roads | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
