At the start of November (1st -3rd November) I'll be Doncaster and figured I'd take an ever so slight detour back home to Surrey... via Wales... to really get to grips with my M-lite and enjoy the roads & views Wales has to offer.

The plan is to start my return journey early(ish) at 8am on 3rd November and, as things stand, I'll be tracking across from Doncaster via part of the Snake Pass, heading towards Aberystwyth. The route to Aberystwyth continues on the A4407 & A4391 (these were a couple of the roads used by Top Gear when filming the Aston Martin V12 Vantage) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Q0Svvdrx_E, before jumping on to the A470/A487.

I'll be having lunch at Aberystwyth and from there, I'll be heading down to Abergavenny via the A482, A4069 (Black Mountain Pass), A4068, A4067, A4221, A4109, etc.

From Abergavenny, I'll be heading straight home.

The thought occurred to me that I should see if there was any interest from anyone here to join me on some (or all) of the roads.
If you're at all interested, let me know and we can discuss where we could meet, etc.

You can find my route here: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=20689593989...

Cheers

If I may say so, you're going to be missing some cracking roads by using the route you've linked to.

You're driving straight past the most southerly point of the Evo Triangle, yet not driving it. There are several other superb roads that you're by-passing too.
PM me for details as I dislike publicising the better ones wink

There's at least one other person joining me for the whole route at the moment. He's also asked around and had some interest.

There's also one other guy who's shown interest for the southern part.

The route has been revised - it would be an early start on Saturday (no later than 8am), leaving from Llangollen.

If you're interested, PM me and I'll give you further details.

Cheers

Would normally go for a 5am start but the sun isn't up until 7am, so unless you fancy it in the dark hehe

Can we confirm this is a definite goer? Don't wanna get up that time of the morning and waste a tank a rocket fuel on my own

I'm definitely doing it as I live in Surrey and I can't think of a better way of getting home than via Wales... plus it was my idea...

I have no problem doing it on my own but it would certainly be a bonus if other people joined me.
