Morning all,

Heard this morning that Leeds City Council have allocated £1.5 million to fix the pot holes, must mean they have allocated around £2 per pothole!!

If the "fix" is their usual method of sending a chap in a drop-side around to throw some tarmac in the hole and then stamp on it I suspect it will be a complete waste anyway.

A quick look at the Fix My Street site for the Leeds area suggests they will need all that money and more just to fix the ones people have bothered to report, the roads here are shocking.

The speed warts they keep installing (which are ineffective for anything above the size of a Fiat 500) seem to be placed with great care and last for years.

They are a nightmare, on my commute to work its a constant game of dodge the pothole, they did fill one of the worst ones in but to no surprise it was back open again in a couple of weeks.

My dad owns a place out in Menorca and the roads over there compared to here are a joy to drive/ride on.

I'm pretty sure the 2 front drop links I have had to have replaced recently are a result of the potholes and speed bumps combined.
