Road trip Belgium - Germany - France

Hi guys,
I'm planning on doing a road trip with some friends, from May 01 to May 04. We're leaving from Ghent in Belgium, and are pretty much open to any suggestion. We've done some road trips in the past to Germany and France, and would like to go there again. It's not too far, great driving roads, nice towns and good beer - especially in Germany, although we're spoiled coming from Belgium of course ;-)
We're looking for some inspiration now though. What do we want? Nice roads obviously, car-related events (musea, races,....), nice towns to stay in at night and to have some fun (we're still 4 guys away from home...). We don't want to drive 500km per day, leaving some time to visit something if possible.
Any suggestions or experiences?
