I know its probably been asked a few times before but I can't seem to see any definitive answers. I'm going on a big fat Euro tour next year and I have most of my route completely sorted and was wondering about the above. The routes I've got are below, one from Stuttgart to The Ring and the other from The Ring to Calais via Spa and the other from Nice to Como. I'm pretty clueless on this part of my trip and was wondering if there is any way of improving any of the routes I've chosen. Any help appreciated

On this Riviera route I'm wondering if I would be better off moving away from the coastline and onto the A8 (French side)/A10 (Italian) and going through the thousand and one tunnels they have on that road?

These next two I haven't a clue about, the route from Stuttgart to The Ring is going past Hockenheim on purpose but I've no idea about the roads to get there or beyond, I've just randomly taken routes that seem to be away from the autobahns as I prefer twisties. On the Ring to Calais route I've tried to do the same to get to Spa but then just a simple blast up to Calais afterwards.

I should be going around the start of June as I'm trying to avoid holiday traffic and mountain passes still being closed.

I did a few of these routes last year, with needing to make up time between the fun bits we stuck mainly to the motorways.

The Italian 'Autostrada dei Fiori' from Genoa to the French border is a fantastic bit of motorway. Essentially it's a series of tunnels separated by bridges with great views. I enjoyed it enough to specifically add it to next year's trip! Toll was around €24 though.

I normally travel down to the 'Ring via Spa, getting off the motorway at Prum. About 10 miles down that road at Budesheim there's a turning on the left signposted to Hillesheim (the L10 road). Follow that and then through to Uxheim. The road surface on the first part of it is a little bumpy but it's a great road with open corners.
