Fantastic Qualifying - just wait for that race tomorrow Laurence Pearce isn't worried about the saleen but with Ian and tommy behing the wheel and Cainy and Barff in the TVR it should be fun - see you there I might still have some voice as the race is early for a change tune in to 1602am

And what about the GTO race??
It should be a Battle Of Titans!!
Porsche Vs TVR Vs Ferrrari and Lotus. Morgan as outsiders!!

Ahhh like you GT fans in UK!!!!

Turned out a ropey car for qualifying - which looked lethal by the time the Right Hand front suspension collapsed....and followed it up by an indifferent race-car.

If Larbre and the Holland boys can turn out top cars, then perhaps Brookspeed should check them over

A tad unfair methinks - Brookspeed had a brake problem all weekend, changed the master cylinders but it didn't fix the problem - Tony Littlejohn raved about the car but the problem put him in the gravel.

This thing made the opposition look plain silly. Absolutely amazing. If the car's reliable over the season then the established British GT teams (TVR/Lister) are going to have to pull some new stunts.

Didn't Shorty have an exciting race, though. All good fun. Shame the Cerbera didn't do better though. Give 'em time.

An excellent weekend, I was at Brands for the Sunday qualifying as well as the race. The variety of cars, especially in the GTO class, is excellent - it put the BTCC to shame. I was disappointed that the Morgan didn't sound as nice as I'd expected, but the wonderfull rumble from the 2 Taylor's Foundry Marcos LM600s made up for it.

Plus, I had the perverse pleasure of leaving the meeting at lunchtime yesterday, as others where still arriving (more fools them!), therefore missing all the traffic and getting home in plenty of time to have a cold beer and a snooze in the sunshine.

Looking forward to Round 2 (Donington 13/14th April).

Getting out wasn't THAT bad! I left when the afternoon BTCC feature race finished and drove straight out of the car park, no problem.

Pity there was no TVR parking thouygh -- I got there just after nine and thought I might have been ahead of the crowds.

Some hope!

GTO Race was fantastic Martin Short was a very pleased man!! New co-driver New colours but same old form!

The traffic was pretty horrid for those of use who has to stay for the 3 lap "Endurance" race at the end of the day - traffic tip it always seems quicker to turn left out of the main gate rather than right

got there at 10.40 , just in time for the gt race, most impressive.Had hospitality courtesy of a petrol comany, and a grand time was had by all. formula 3's were awesome as usual.
left just after the main race, and was out of the circuit in about 5 mins. Did'nt seem to be as many people as usual, south bank was nearly empty, was everyone hiding in the woods?

Great couple of days.

The Saleen seemed unbeatable, opening out a comfortable lead and happy to hold it. Nice to see Shorty holding off the Porker, although it was touch and go for a little while through Graham Hill bend.

It was also good to see the Ant Hill Mob enter in the Morgan. It sounded nice, but I kept expecting Penelope Pistop to overtake them.
