F1 Drivers - what do they drive on the road?

It'd be interesting to know. But don't they usually drive dull stuff? Once you've driven an F1 everything else would be a bit slow and wooly so why bother with an AMG black when your MP4/24 or whatever is way better?
If they offered me the F1 pace car I don't think I'd say no, lovely sound While at Renault Heikki had a Megane Diesel estate IIRC. Fernando sent his V6 Clio back and had a Megane hatch I think.
While at Williams Damon Hill and Nigel Mansel both had Renault Safranes and I believe both were nicked for speeding in them.
Schucher used to favour a 550 while at Ferrari though he appearently says the Laguna V6 is his favourite ever company motor. He also has a Fiat 500
I know Fisi had a new 911 in about 1997 for a few days before wiping it out.

When asked, f1 drivers will say whatever the sponsors want him to say- Ferrari is owned by fiat, schumi raced for fiat therefore he said he drives a fiat. Whether he does or not is anyones guess.
If they race for a car compnay, rather then an indy then they will drive whatever they give them- Trulli in a Corolla, or Heidfeld in a 3 series (remember Button "accidentally" getting caught doing 155mph in the then-new BMW 330 in France a few years back? great publicity)
i suspect its been this way for a long time, witha few exceptions: Sato had a tuned Mini, and Stefan Johanssen had a 911 which he drove between races, getting a lot of respoect from Roebuck in the process.

Jean Alesi is a known petrolhead, with an F40, 500 Abarth and several others in his stable.
Jenson Button has an RS6 and a camper van amongst others and has previously had an S2000, NSX and an F355
Eddie Irvine had a 288GTO, Mustang and a 550 Maranello
Mansell had an F40.
Most don't actually own anything - they just drive whatever's given to them by the manufacturer/engine supplier. By that reckoning, you'd rather drive for McLaren than Toyota
Damon Hill famously didn't drive anything tasty on the road, reasoning that after an F1 car anything else was a bit dull. He drove a Civic for a while IINM....
Oh, and not an F1 driver but Mario Thiessen has an M6.
