Prescott hill climb
Discussion
Hi all,
Is anybody here a regular to the Prescott hill climb? was thinking of going to the first ( I think ) big weekend of this year sometime in April. Anyway looking at the event page of the web-site it says "non petrol theme" so does this mean it going to be a weekend of eco friendly machines or will it still be a good petrolhead event.
Cheers

You're talking about the British & Midland Championships Weekend Sat 25 & Sun 26 April 2009.They might be featuring a non-petrol car or two, but the rest of the field will be top-notch.
Here's last year's result sheet
prescott is an awesome hillclimb and a great venue for the spectator too. some great spots were you can get really close to the cars and really feel the power. Plus it has a very accessible paddock and a return road so there is constant action.
as its the british/midland round, it will mostly be the big fast stuff
as you say there is a petrol alternatives theme but these will only be doing demo runs at lunch time.... they say there will be a few steam powered cars there, so some VSCC members i would guess, there might be some human powered stuff too... as for the surprise guests, could be a biofuel ALMS-type car or a Telsa doing some demo runs or the recent steam powered world record attempt car on display?
