capri X pack COO 260T
Discussion
Does anyone out there know of the following car,its an original ford capri X pack in white with ford rs colours being three shades of blue along the sides mainly on the bottom half, the reg number being COO 260T.The car was originally silver, but was then changed to these colours when MIKE WILDS (the famous racing car driver) bought it from ford after they had used it for their X pack promotions in 1980.Mike then used it as his pace car for various driving school events in 1980/81/82 at silverstone and various other tracks. He did write to me to confirm this, however,I have very little photographic proof of this history,I do however have plenty of photo's and press articles when it was silver and being tested by various different magazines in 79/80.I am happy to purchase any pictures of its pace car time. This car can also be seen on members cars COO 260T,replies shall be much appreciated.Grant.

Whilst marshalling at Oulton many years back, I was on Lodge Corner and needed to visit the paddock, and was lucky enough to blag a lift back the long way round .
The Course/Pace car was this Capri driven by Mike Wilds.
There were no belts in the back of the car and the rear seats were in place, there were 5 of us in the car (including Mike) and lets just say it went like the proverbial off a shovel.
Very enjoyable, and no I didn't need to revisit the paddock
