I hate to say it but jenson is probably suffering a little green eyed envy. jenson's first drive was in the williams which at the time wasn't a bad car, he's just been a bit unlucky that he hasn't really had a top drive since. Still i bet he's been paid very well in that time. Maybe next year he will be in a more competitive car now that brawn is on-board. I would like to see him do well and win some races.

From his comments it sounds as though the danger is that you lose the ability to set up the car properly, become confused about the correct way to go, and suffer a lack of confidence and motivation.

Bitter that's something Jenson is not more like realistic,if he had the car that Lewis has had this year without a doubt he'd been fighting for the title.
I think you lot are missing the fact that Barrichello has had a better chance of a title and blew it.
Give Jenson the car to fight with and he will deliver!!

Barichello is older and got better results from the Honda.

Rubens was also unbeatable on "his day" in the Ferrari, why would that be any different for Button? Get fking Vettel in a Mclaren and watch what happens.

But Brawn has admitted that the lack of development on the car hurt Button more than Barrichello, and that for the past two years the car has been designed more with Rubens in mind because he can't get to grips with the car when it is more to Jenson's liking.

Look, if you asked any current driver in F1 if they had a a McLaren of a Ferrari, they would all say they would be title contenders, but in reality we know that would not be true. At the end of the day some guys will always be better than others even in the same equipment.

I do get the feeling that Rubens has driven his last race and that Bruno Senna will be put in the car. What puzzles me is that although their driving styles are so dissimilar, Jenson wants Rubens to be retained. Is Button afraid that a younger driver is going to come in to "his" team and blow him in to the weeds?

I used to rate Button as a driver. However, it looks to me that after two seasons in lousy cars he has simply given up on trying to achieve anything and is simply adding to his eventual retirement fund.

Jenson needs competitve machinery in order to thrive. That is something he will not get at Honda, despite Ross Brawn's best efforts. So long as they keep a designer who only has experience of designing things with only two wheels, and the need for every design decision to be authorised hy the Honda board in Japan they are going to go nowhere.
