If you're asking about the K&N Ultima GTR, it's not doing all that well so far. Despite a competitive time being posted by R.K. Smith early in the second sesssion of the previous Rolex test days, the K&N team seems to have been struggling with the car since. It was towed off the track at least once during testing & had apparently suffered some gearbox problems (modified Porsche G50 with straight cut gears?). They've only officially posted a single 5+ minute lap through Thursday's Practice / Qualifying sessions. This car's very new to the track & appears to need much more development. Hope they can get it out in the race & show something.
Re: K&N Ultima. The problem which has dogged this effort which is really a road going GTR with bolt on wheels etc is that of the gearchange. It has a cable change which is supplied (I believe) by Powerhaus who are responsible for the gearbox. The cable change is just not suitable for serious use, why they didn't use the Ultima supplied rod linkage which both works
and is reliable I cannot understand! The engine is a beauty though.
Do you have a URL for the Master Motorsport Team?
