Is it me or is the difference in penalty totally unfair?
Rosberg enters the pit lane at the wrong time and gets a 10sec box trip
Massa (well Ferrari) make an unfair release, putting Massa and other drivers in danger and get a drive through?
Another case of Ferrari bias in my view
I think there are a lot of people who are now looking for Ferrari biased judgements, and finding them where they actually do not exist.

HOW?!
If the penalty for pitting when the pits are closed is a stop and go and the penalty for releasing into the path of another car is a drive though then those are the rules. What in the blue hell has it got to do with Ferrari?
Im sorry but the bandwagon just left the station

FWIW i agree the penalties dont fit the crimes but those are the rules, nothing to do with bias.
I think the problem today was the penalties which are given overall. I think it unfair to penalise cars who genuinely have to stop. There could be a system whereby the team notify the race director of their intended strategy prior to the race (certainly for the first stop) and provided they are in line with that when they make a stop under a safety car they are OK. It would be possible to revise that for the second and subsequent stops after each one occurs.
Certainly a greater penalty for that than a dangerous incident seems wrong, and it worked very slightly in favour of Ferrari today, but I don't see any bias in that. Just a crap system.

10000 Euro fine for Massa for his pit antics at Valencia when he was winning....today a drive through after his race is shot....tomTVR said:

I mena, they both let their cars out in front of another car (coincidentally a Force India). Why the different penalties given?

Actually i think had he got a clean get away i.e. not dragged a man and a rign with him then he might have made it out without impeding the other car. Close though.

If its accepted that cars CAN pit if they have to when the pit lane is closeed during asfaety car period all of the pit crews know that cars may well be pitting. They were in no more danger than usual.

It is obvious that have been some very biased decisions made favouring Ferrari several times over the years, but the opinion of some is starting to get very silly now, and way beyond rational.
As others have already stated, different penaltys are impossed for different missdermeaners, hence why Massa got a drive through and Rosberg / Kubica got a stop / go.
Some of the rubbish being spouted from some of the adults on here is alarming.
No no no no no. Massa got fined 10K Euros for pulling out in front of another driver in Valencia. It was decided that the stewards would look into this "after the race". The stewards decided he DID break the rules. The rules state they had a choice of three penalties, inclduing a drive through. Mysteriously, they decided not to use any of these, and find the team 10K instead. As others have already stated, different penaltys are impossed for different missdermeaners, hence why Massa got a drive through and Rosberg / Kubica got a stop / go.

Same offence, different decision. What everyone wants is CONSISTENCY of rules and punishment. Nothing else.
On a different note, if I were in Force India, I would be wondering what I had done to upset Ferrari: first Monaco, then Valencia, now Shanghai. It seems that on street circuits, Ferrari dont seem to like Force India!!

I agree it's a rediculous situation that drivers are in a 'luck-of-the-draw' situation about whether they can make a stop for fuel when they need it.
I suppose one solution would be for an FIA controlled independant (stop the sniggering at the back) fuel rig, located at the end of the pitlane. In the event of the pitlane being 'closed' a driver who needs to stop for fuel may do so only at the FIA rig. Operated by independant people the car is topped up with a standard unit of fuel (say enough for 15 laps) and sent on their way with no help from their own team at all. In the event of multiple drivers needing fuel then they queue and all get the standard 15 lap amount.
It doesn't get away from the fact that a driver needing to stop at this time is at a disadvantage, but at least he is not penalised for a situation completely out of his control.
