Reminds me of the flying Mercedes at LM a few years ago , was it Mark Webber ?

There was more than one CLK-GTR that flew that year. Webber was in two, and Peter Dumbreck in the third. Dumbreck's flight got the most reportage.

Incidentally they have a non flight tested one at Mercedes World in Chertsey , they make no mention of the flying incidents on the story board.

It was the CLR rather than the CLK-GTR that flew. Apparently the wrecked cars were never repaired and the one remaining car was sold off. The car at Brooklands wouldn't make any mention of the crashes as it's one of the earlier cars.

I think a big hand needs to go to the engineer and designers... that can make cars to withstand these crashes so that the drivers can walk away.
