Since the outcome of the appeal is pretty much certain to be - you can't appeal if your Mclaren... Let's look forward to this weekend's legal case, in mean race
Checking out the forecast for this weekend and it's going to be interesting
Thunderstorms
Humidity 60-95% (i guess when it's not racing)
Temp 26 to 32C
Not having been to Singapore is it one of those places that it pisses it down in the mornings, then remains dry or does it piss it down in the evenings ?
Track times
Practice 1 12noon
Practice 2 2.30pm
Qualifying - 3pm
Race - 1pm

Singapore, 14 September 2008 – As the 2008 FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix is a “rain or shine” event, Singapore GP Pte Ltd understands that some spectators are concerned about arrangements for the possibility of rain during the three-day event.
To make the race an enjoyable experience for all, we are making available for sale at all Circuit Park gates what we call Survival Kits, which will each contain a pair of earplugs and a single-use rain poncho.
Each pack costs only SGD$2, and all profits from the sales will go to two registered charities: Singapore Red Cross Society and the St. John Ambulance Singapore.
While umbrellas are allowed, their use is restricted and spectators should be mindful when using them. An opened umbrella will hinder others from seeing the race and with a strong gust of wind an opened umbrella from the grandstands could be blown onto the track. For these two reasons, umbrellas cannot be opened in the grandstands.
Wearing a rain poncho will also make the race more enjoyable as both hands will be kept free. (for what ? )

Apparently it has rained on the last weekend in september in that exact location in singapore every year for the last 10 years,and on the 28th september(GP day) 6 times out of the last 10 years,with thunderstorms in the evening on 2 of those occasions, i think we might well get a wet race people

I bet Massa and his Ferrari skimboard can't wait 
will have to record quali and watch when i get in can't wait 
After today's total farce, I hope Lewis totally humiliates Ferrari this weekend. If they could get Kovalainen to have a convincing race-ending accident with Massa then justice will be served.
But forget about today, this weekend will certainly be interesting. Funny I should read a comment about the possibility of no race if it is wet, however I disagree that it would be abandoned due to poor visibility. The FIA will probably abandon it and award the win to Massa even if he crashes, because they would probably argue that it isn't fair that a wet race should occur because Ferrari would not have a chance of winning.
Sorry about the ranting, but I am just gobsmacked that the FIA can get away with this. If there is another FIA intervention to gift Massa the title, I would like to extend an invitation to all F1 drivers to abandon the Championship, and have a lawnmower race in my back garden. I have gone mad again...
But hopefully, we can get a convincing McLaren 1-2 finish, and a thunderstorm mid race to spice things up...

"Under certain circumstances, especially with low temperatures and rain, we've hardly any grip.
"Now it seems it's going to rain at every outstanding race - we had enough in Monza.
"It's not that I've lost my ability to drive in the wet, but when you've no grip, what can you do?
"Things are definitely not going my way. Sometimes it happens but that won't lower my spirits or my determination.
"Nevertheless, I want to win again this season and I will give my best, as usual."
Now, if he's saying that, and it coudl rain, and the Ferrari are not good in the wet, then the race will be cancelled.

Will they race if it rains? Obviously a little drizzle wont matter, but if it rains properly will the visibility be too low?
This is the only thing thats worrying me when it rains in Sngapore it RAINS! and as we know from Monza they are scared of proper rain, I see a lot of saftey cars spoiling the race.Weather preview here

This is without doubt the most anticipated race for me all year, so many unknowns and a twist of rain perhaps to add extra excitement.
I think McLaren will go well, with the race being in the evening the track temps will be lower and therefore favour them over Ferrari.
However, I'm expected a suprise result again, don't be suprised to see Boudais in the mix - he's used to street circuits and night racing from Champ Cars.
