Race Suit Cleaning

So you've been drenched in champagne in the victory podium. How do you get your nomex suit cleaned?
Mine indicates dry clean only (which is fine), but is there any need for post-cleaning treatment to restore the fire-proofing?
As long as they follow the instructions regarding the dry cleaning its supposed to be fine.
congrats on getting on the podium by the way
I know that it sounds a bit obvious but what does the label say? Our race suits are dry clean only, but after every 3rd clean they need to be re-treated to meet the fire regs
Last you thing you want in a fire is a non fire proof suit
If the label isn't clear maybe phone the manufacture?..

How are they re-treated? Is there a spray I can buy or something?
d_drinks: is your suit proban??

Depends on whether your suit is Nomex or Proban.
Nomex is fireproof, and stays fireproof after washing. So you can wash it with no problems.
Proban is just cotton with an added fireproof treatment. This eventually washes out, so don't wash it any more than you have to! From what I've heard, it normally lasts about 20 washes or so. I washed my old Proban overalls after every seond event - that still gives you 40 events before you need to buy a new set of overalls...
