Proposal for 2.4-litre F1 engines in 2005
Discussion
So not only is F3000 made a complete mockery since it runs 3000cc engines (albeit de-tuned stock uinits) on slick tyres there are proposals for reducing the size of F1 engines from the current 3000cc V10 units to 2400cc in 2005 in a bid to reduce speeds.
They obviously haven't thought this through too well as everyone has been screaming for reducing costs in F1 and a completely new engine regulation is hardly going to do that is it?
Wouldn't make any difference to F1 anyway, the races would still be boring just be a little slower and longer.

Might sound a bit better though! - especially if they make them V6 as I think has been mooted.
Have you ever heard a modern F1 car in the flesh? Its an amazing noise. Makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end
Try this from Silverstone. Top F1 noise. 9.5mb but worth it.
