French Grand Prix

We've got the cars back now. What a wonderful legal system those nice French people have. At least, that's what I think the guys trackside said...
Now we get to see why we pay these drivers all that money - new circuit layout, no practice laps, one warmup and then straight into a low fuel quali run!

I just watched JV's lap, and I defy anybody to say it was anything other than stunning. I know it was a drying track (Minardi 1-2 for those who didn't see it yet), but to go P1 on your first lap of the day on a wet track and untried setup takes seriously large balls! You should have heard the cheer here at the factory when he did it.
I'm not usually a big JV fan, but that will have improved his chances of a seat for next year.

My view is that Craig Pollock made the boy rich but probably ruined his career.
He's still a racer though! His dice with the Minardis last week may have been at the back of the field but at least he was still going for it - many others would have just cruised.
He's a bit like Robbie Williams - not bad but huge entertainment.
Good luck for the race!

I'm sorry, he'd rather play with his Playstation than fiddle with Dannii Minogue's furry mouse pad?????
He's not right in the head if you ask me
Got back from French GP on Monday. Would not have missed it for the world - what an event and setting.
Would need to see some improvements in the timetable before another GP visit though. 187 euros for a 20 minute Porsche Supercup race and the Grand Prix is silly. Now there is no morning warm up there is nothing to see on the track (apart from the dricers parade) until the Porsche race at 11.40. By 3.40pm it is all over !
Come on Bernie - sort it out !
