Xero 'Vette

What car is the Xero race car based on? The rear roofline didn't seem to be that of the hard-top version whan I saw it at silverstone.

This car is fast tho, and constantly improving (with speed anyway). It'll be pushing the TVRs in the next race and maybe troubling the Moslers by the end of the season.

Try this link -> www.chevrolet.com/corvette/ since there are two types of hardtop corvette, the coupe or Z06. So it could be based on either.

I thought that the Z06 'vette just had a different engine! Duh!!

The coupe used to be available with the same top as the Z06 - no hatchback. I'm not sure of this year, but I've seen plenty of non-Z06 'vettes with the same roofline.

The Car is an ex pratt and miller C5, originally built, when the bodywork was the same as the current Z06. In short C5 with Z06 bodywork. (But built at a time when the Z06 bodywork was used on the corvette). Hope this clears things up!
