I've followed PistonHeads for a year or two now, and only just registered tonight to say that I was pretty ticked off by the sexist attitude of the "formula wench" story. I'd love to see more women welcomed into racing, and this type of publicity sure isn't the way to do it.

I think the style of the report was showing the sexist nature of the intended formula, in an ironic kind of way.

There's always one isn't there!!!

I'm sure the vast majority of the intended audience are equipped with enough common sense to differentiate between mindless misogyny and light hearted epistlery. Pretty sure that the women interested in racing would be more than capable of giving as good as they get..

Yoghurt knitters need not apply.

As a girlie I find this sort of thing does nothing to help the public image of women. Pandering to minorities and under-represented sections of the population is a waste of money. If someone has the skills to achieve their dream they will do this irrespective of their sex. There are things that women do better than blokes (eg childbirth) but we don't see money being pumped into these areas.

Ah, but there is plenty of money pumped into the events 9 months prior to childbirth...

Can I mention something else that is "pumped in" to facilitate childbirth or should I save that for "other" sites?
