The new Brooklands circuit
Discussion
I am an enthusiast of motor racing circuits.
Brooklands has ever been my favourite one.
There is a “refurbishment” plan by DaimlerChrysler, but in this web page there is a much more intriguing proposal:

If this proposal has thrilled you, please spread the rumour though the web!

I admire your vision and enthusiasm but sadly, the reality is that this is never going to happen - no matter how many signatures are gathered. The track you have laid out actually crosses land owned by Sony and the cost to develop a facility would be staggering. The local populace is very well heeled (and so do not need the benefits of a bolstered economy) and they would also object to any form of motor sporting venue on their door step.
CD already own Lydden (via McLaren) and are unlikely spend any more on creating a second facility beyond what they are proposing.
Brooklands was a great circuit and is a travesty that it has degraded into its current state but personally, I would rather see efforts in mantaing the circuits we do have in the UK, brought up to scratch and their future secured.
