I totally agree with you. There was no guarantee that he could have won, just look at the quality of drivers that could not handle the conditions.
All in all I think it was a great race that required both driver and team skill to get a result, well done to Jordan for running so close.

Well, he does have a point. All things being equal and if the race had run to length, he could have won - he'd pitted and those in front of him hadn't, so he would have regained the lead. But in the words of the great Murray - IF is F1 backwards (and to paraphrase... to finish first, first the race has to finish!) There were a lot of unlucky people out there yesterday - David was just ojne of them. My man of the match goes to Mark Webber who recovered a skid that caught Shumi out!

Are they such good drivers? They all span out or couldn't control their rockets!?!?!? Coulthard could and DID!!!Just because Coulthard threw a strop does not mean that this criticism is valid. When w*nker Schumacher throws his dummy out of his pram NO ONE gets worked up! so why get your knickers in a twist when Coulthard has a (perhaps justified) strop???
I think DC has been hard done by, as has Jordan. BTW there is another post on the general motorsport forum.
IMHO the 'authorities' have screwed up here because:
The race was stopped during the 55th lap, therefore the result from lap 54 should be taken, ie Fisichella was the winner, also
If the result is taken from the 53rd lap the required 75% race distance was not reached and the race should have been restarted, cue DCs grumble. 75% race distance would be 53.25 laps.
The others not complaining is actually irrelevant because they were already out of the race.

Whether Webbe is man of the match is doubtful as he was the one that ultimately caused the race to end.
The other thing I find interesting is how Alonso, Fisi and Webber can be held to be in the points, after all none of them could have taken any restart.
However at least it was an interesting race to watch!

DC is a fine driver, but will never be World Champion IMHO.
For almost 10 years now, his seasons have repeated themselves like the scrpt of Groundhog Day:
Jan : "I'm more ready to win than ever. No one can stop me this year"
Feb : "I'm going to be really aggressive, and fight as hard as I need to."
Mar : "Well we're still dialing in the new car. I think the result was good in the circumstances"
Apr : "Mika/Kimi got a really good start, but I was baulked for 20 laps by Fisicella / Schumacher / Villeneuve / Herbert / Alesi / Frentzen [delete where applicable]. I was clearly a lot faster than him, and he should have let me though... it shoudn't be allowed in F1"
May : "I agree my (Finnish) team mate is well ahead at this point in the season, but we're still on level terms and the upcoming circuits will suit me better anyway... I'm not out of the championship yet"
Jun : "I think it's important for the team to finish strongly, and chasing my team-mate might have compromised both of us finishing, so I held position"
Jul : "Well Ferrari are pushing us very hard, so it's important that I do whatever it takes to help my team mate win the championship"
Aug : "Things have not really turned out for me this year. I've failed to finish too many times, and at this stage of the season I need to support the team effort and just get as many points as I can"
Sep : "I want to pay homage to Michael / Mikka / Jacques / Nigel / Damon [delete where applicable] as he's done a tremendous job this year"
I just hope he uses more a different record when he retires to the BTCC eventually.

He is a moaning git. Just becuase he's getting pasted by Kimi Raikkonen he throws his dummy out of the pram. Say what you want about Michael Schumacher, at least he is awesomely fast 99% of the time (if you want proof, go to an F1 test at Silvestone and stand at Copse. Then pick your jaw up off the floor when Schumacher comes through absolutley flat), whereas Coulthard is in my opinion, a pretty average F1 driver. He's good, but nowhere near good enough. I'll put money on the fact he'l have a moan about something or other today, since he could only manage 12th on the grid.
