I am unfortunate enough not to be able to see the British GT series so I am watching the FIA GT on Eurosport instead.

Jamie Campbell-Walter is an incredibly lucky man following yesterdays incident. He had just been overtaken in traffic by a 550 when the part of rear wing came off the 550 and hit the Lister in the windscreen right in front of JCW. It smashed the screen and ripped the roof off the Lister. JCW made it back to the pits and the car went out minus roof and with a plastic screen but had to retire later on.

Not a good start to the season for Lister and JCW in what should be a very competitive year.

It's www.dailysportscar.net. It was interesting (in a negative way) to see that the airodynamics of the Lister were so screwed without the roof that the car wasn't drivable any more. I didn't expect the missing roof to have such a big impact. Or was there something else wrong with the Lister ? Shorty didn't have the chance to race because the EMKA Porsche dropped out after 11 laps. What happened ? I watched the race on Eurosport but they didn't mention this incident.

I believe the EMKA car had suffered a misfire all weekend and it finally caused the team to call it a day after the start of the race.

actually, he ferrari hit the front spiltter of the No4 Viper (which had fallen off!) and that was what hit the lister, and did u hea jamie in the pits, i dont think he'll ever like BMS scuderia italia!!! he said 'i think they need to learn how to build their car better' - although it was later confirmed o be the vipers frot splitter!

AND- very suprisingly the N0.1 Larbre viper set the fastest lap of the race! and the vipr was very much in contention, but only the larbre one, great job to get a VERY old car up their with the Listers, ferraris and saleens! but apparntly the viperwith the new fron suspension (2003 spec) has 'made it a totally differnet car to drive and turns in allot better'
