Well done the Carolines!

They were 2 great races. Made the GT race look a bit dull! Pity Phil Keen had probs at the start of both races. We know he can come through from the back of the grid - it'll be interesting how he fares racing with the guys at the front.
I'd also like to say thanks to the Insane Racing team for beers, BBQ and entertainment on Sat night and constant stream of coffee, bacon, sausages and burgers on Sunday. Thanks guys.
Most laid back preparation for race award must go to Wayne Phelan, who at 9.35am (race starting at 10am) was still at the B&B miles away polishing off a full english...

Phil came out to play at Thruxton last year, didn't do that well, though I so seem to remeber some car trouble so I'm sure that didn't help him. Young drivers seem to go well at Donnington not sure if it's due to the nature of the track or if it's down a lot of national races being held there?..... Rob Urquart came up from the back of the grid in the first race at Donnington last season (the first Donnington round) to finish 4th similar to Phil. Will be interesting to see how his season pans out....
dear mr griff2be
I think it's remarkably unfair to suggest that I am not primed and ready for each race at least 2 minutes before it starts. The full english breakfast is a myth.. i had some cornflakes, coffee and orange juice.. ooh how healthy!. Anyway.. I was tired.. too much BBQ'ing and roof riding the night before - ooh how the security gaurds have no sense of humour :-(
But, thanks for your attendance within our humble awning... see you at Snett with your ARDS pack in hand :-)
BTW.. well done to Lee and Darren for a fantastic first result for Insane Racing.. a brilliant weekend to kick it all off.
Bad luck to No.29 at Redgate.... hmm throttle stuck eh!?... more like you thought you'd try some left foot braking, only to find you've only got one leg. Next time try the same line as me... on the grass!
See you all at snetterton

Methinks No. 5 doth protest too much regarding 'healthy' breakfast. Besides, 9.48am arrival at circuit for 10am race seemed to work better for you than steady preparation for 2nd race. Perhaps a last minute slap up feed (off circuit) next time?
Do I need an ARDS pack/competion licence for roof riding....?

Really grabs your attention I can tell you, still mate don't you worry, at your max revs, circa 3750, you won't notice If your throttle sticks!!!! It was a rubber "O" ring from the air filters that dropped down into one of the "bodies", and jammed the butterfly open...........

Hi No5 and No29, just reading about F3 racing on the oval, I still think the Tuscans should be on the oval! I think the racing would be fantastic!
No 5, I had a great time on Saturday, I am slowly able to walk again, not sure what is wrong but will find out next week. I will speak to Steve next week and have ordered new stop watch!
No 29, Sorry about your race, however I thought you and No 5 have greatly improved since I last saw you. Not much between you. keep up the good work. I have just read about JCW's convertable Lister! A very lucky man.
See you at Snett
