New Shoes?
Only the best for the Bentley Boys
The 2003 Bentley Boys sported exclusive made-to-measure racing shoes whilst they contested the Sebring 12-hour race in Florida over the weekend. They will also wear them during Le Mans.
The leather-lined fireproof nomex racing shoes were custom-made for each individual driver.
"Bentley has always believed in the value of beautiful hand-made objects," said Brian Gush, Bentley's director of motor sport.
The bespoke shoes were made by German craftsman Axel Himer in his workshop in Baden-Baden in southern Germany. He has been making hand-made shoes for since 1988, and branched out into racing shoes in 2000.
