Girl Racers
Tim Sugden tries to attract more women into motor sport
Discussion
I did the Tim Sugden Scholarship 3 or 4 years ago, just to improve my racecraft and not actually expecting to win and although I did better than I expected, (I made it into the shortlist of the last 11 competitors) I came away thinking I had wasted £1,000 of my money. The instruction I recieved at Blyton Park was pretty poor and I felt that I really didn't get a great deal from the scheme.
However it does offer a magnificent opportunity for the winner of the scholarship to get into professional racing. When I did the scholarship, from memory, I think there were about 800 people who had applied, so the chance of being the person to win was fairly slim and remember that the runners up get nothing. I don't want to put anyone off, but if you do decide to enter, go in with your eyes wide open.

Hi,
Just thought I'd mention that although we seem to have a link at the bottom of the Tim Sugden Schorlaship press release (sportscarracer.com) - we are totally different company from them!
The points raised by Paceracing are valid - which is why we endevour to be different... We aim to make sure that EVERYBODY walks away satisfied, regardless of what stage they get to. This is done in a number of ways, from the instructing, to how the days are structured (simply check the site for more details).
Hope this clears that up!
Cheers
Oli
