All, I'm currently scanning my old F1 negatives in preparation for a (personal) photobook I've been wanting to make for years.

I've started with the Silverstone tyre tests in June 1985. This image is a heavy crop of Martin Brundle with the then brand new Tyrrell 014 Renault Turbo. I noticed the person in the background (far right) looked like he was being interviewed. It looks like it might be Stefan Bellof. Any comments on this assumption? Would be nice to include him in the caption if it is.

While panning around the scans on-screen, I've seen quite a few individuals who I now recognise as being part of the F1 establishment at the time, but as a 14 year old with an Olympus Trip, didn't know them. Stefan Bellof, Manfred Winklehock, Elio de Angelis - I didn't appreciate that these people would be gone within a few months. Also long forgotten pictures of my late Dad...it's quite a process.

Thanks.

I would say yes it's Bellof. No matter how bad you think the photos are keeping sharing them as they will mean something to someone. Also use the various Facebook groups for the 80s period as there are some very knowledgeable people on them.

Yes, or his double.

I wonder if the man he's talking to could be Simon Taylor.
