Official launch dates just announced today:

I think it looks great, with a lot of progress made in a very short time.

Their TOCA Junior Championship Facebook page has lots of great pics and info.

Good.
The Ginetta Juniors Championship was always one of the most entertaining support races on Toca.

Deliberate timing for the TOCA Junior announcement, given that the following day Alan Gow (in his role as FIA Touring Car Commission President) was involved in the launch of TC Lite?

Of course, TOCA adopting a TCR-pyramid category to use as a junior series was never going to happen, but nevertheless it'll be interesting to see how the Chevron and TCL cars compare on costs and performance.

The TOCA Junior car was revealed this evening.

I have to say, I'm impressed. Considering this is a pre-production prototype, it has been presented very well. It looks terrific, underbonnet and interior look very well-engineered. Styling is bland, but it will come alive with different liveries.

It was a very interesting and enlightening evening, and I wish the series every success.

Far too expensive IMO but I don't get the amount of money people spend on even entry level racing so kids with parents that think they are the next Lando Norris won't bat an eyelid.

I certainly like the engineering that has gone into the car.

Super silhouette series would look much better and be cheaper. Also more body shapes just restrict it to 100mph or whatever juniors need to be. This looks awful and awfully expensive for what it is considering the ginetta juniors were half the price and has more uses outside of juniors this seems like a huge own goal for toca.

What a load of expensive nonsense #letsripoffrichparents there are plenty of good cars they could use for a junior series no need for this at all.

You obviously haven't looked into this then, have you?

Cant help but think this will end up being the 2020’s version of the T Cars championship back in the late 90’s.

Cant see it lasting

The advantage the Ginetta Junior series has (had?) was that it was part of a recognisable pathway of Ginetta racing series.

There seems to be a huge gulf from TOCA Junior to full on BTCC.

I suspect its USP is that you will get to be on the telly every race.

Well engineered it might be, but why is the exterior design so dull and look like a knock off of a Peugeot 106??

It's not a feeder series for the BTCC though. It's a series in it's own right. Minis are the logical stepping stone to BTCC within the same package but you can't drive them at 14.
