As we know, Monza got hit hard last year with the storm that flattened about of trees. I’ve just seen this video which appears to show many more have since been felled as well as work to resurface the entire track.
The place looks a little sorry for itself at the moment which is sad to see. It’s 20 years since I was last there for the F1 but the feeling of being immersed in and amongst the forest, which will have born witness to the greatest machines and competitors throughout the history of motorsport made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Especially when you could hear a wailing V10 approaching.
I hope the character of the place isn’t forever lost.
