Was hoping to find a MotoGP Silverstone thread I could piggy back on but could not see one. I was lucky enough to win a hospitality package (via Rev Comps as I know quite a few here enter their comps) which does include a 3 night hotel stay and circuit transfers. However the transfer back to the hotel is at a set time after the racing. The evening music line up looks half decent so we fancy staying at the circuit for that on the Sat night and possibly Sunday night as well. So we will have to make our own way back to the hotel which is Daventry. Anyone know from experience what the taxi situation is like at around 9pm and if Uber operate around Silverstone circuit? I am presuming after the racing finishes plenty of taxis but probably less so later on as most people staying for music etc will be camping etc.

Thanks in advance.

I'd ring up the ticket office and ask what the nearest taxi firm is and then just prebook one from them to meet you at the entrance at the end.

Thanks. I’m not sure how accurate the evening schedule / timing is so wanted to be flexible. but I guess if we book something its better leaving early than getting stranded. I’ll try the hotel first as they must get similar questions as lots of guests over big race weekends.

Google Zoom taxis Silverstone. They’re one of the very few local firms. Just about any day of the year you’ll struggle to get a taxi around here ( Zoom excepted who has a very good reputation) so be warned that during major events at the circuit licensed and unlicensed cabs descend on the place like a plague of locusts and they will rip you off.
For example during F1 weekend what is already an expensive trip to MK at £50 is at least doubled.

That’s the way to do it. Have the hotel send a local (to them) car to pick you up. You’re not going to get ripped off (although the hotel will take a commission), and the driver has every incentive to find you and make sure you get back to the hotel.
