Hyundai WRC driver Breen Killed in Croatia pre event test
Discussion
Sad news. It seems like it’s been a while since we had a death in top flight rallying. Thankfully co-drive appears to be okay with just minor injuries.

I was a bit shocked when I read this, you just don't expect it these days.
Very sad, condolences to all his family and friends.
Was only watching a Henri Toivonen documentary on YouTube yesterday and the dark days of Group B seem a lifetime ago, I'm certain WRC hasn't been complacent but I guess kinetic energy will always exist.

Terrible news.
It was a freak accident by all accounts, he hit a fence and one of the posts came up into the car and unfortunately, into Craig as well.
His co-driver must feel awful, I've been a co-driver for many years and I know I would feel incredibly guilty (probably for no reason) if that had happened to one of my drivers.

It's somehow more shocking that it's happened before the rally has started, not sure why? Very sad, condolences to all his family and friends.

He's definitely one of the guys in any top level motorsport whose love and passion for what he does overrides everything else. RIP
