Alain de Cadenet RIP
Discussion
Learnt of his passing this morning on RLM though he lost his battle with cancer the weekend past during LM Classic.
A raconteur and quite a character as I remember his media exposure and too young to have witnessed his racing exploits.

Yes, a great character. I am old enough (unfortunately!) to have seen him race in period. I was at Silverstone in 1980 to watch him score a brilliant victory in the WEC 6 hour race with Desiree Wilson as a very able co driver.
The de Cadenet LM car was a very effective tool - the aero apparently being refined during a 200mph midnight test drive on the M4.
If you haven’t seen de Cadenet’s TV feature on the Spitfire it’s worth a YT - sums the man up really…
